Tortoiseshell Cat Coat Color

Sims 3 Pets is noticeably lacking a tortie coat color for kitties.  This is my best attempt so far at making one. It will appear in the game as a coat color only, not as a cat.

Torties are pretty ugly beasts, but ... LOL ... they need love, too.  If you don't like the white chest, of course you can edit the coat color in your game to your liking.

This gorgeous dappled stallion was born in my game.  He has the "fast," "obedient" and "playful" traits. I thought he was cool-looking, so I thought I'd upload him here so other people can have him in their games, too. He has zero custom content, so everyone will be able to use him without trouble.

Requires the "Pets" expansion to work. (Duh.) Click on the pictures to make them bigger.

Currently updating this site ...

I haven't updated this site since the Late Night expansion came out, so this site was SO outdated for a long time. (I had a baby ... suddenly I found myself with very little free time to make custom content. ...)  Now that "Pets" has come out, I've decided it was way past time to update the site again.   I've spent today checking my files to make sure they work with the "Pets" expansion installed, with the latest patch.

I've just checked the rugs, paintings and patterns on my site in my game, and they all seem to be working with "Pets."  So far, so good.  I did notice that my files for my illuminated manuscript paintings weren't working, so I took these off the site.

By the way, the "Pets" EP is awesome!!! Don't forget to add "Pets" to your DEP to prevent crashing. The post below will tell you how to do that.

How To Fix Crashes by Adding Your Games to your DEP

Your Sims 3 game might crash if you haven't added the game, its expansions and stuff packs to the DEP on your computer  (Data Execution Prevention).  If you're having crashing, make sure you do the following steps before playing your game again.  You'll have to add each and every expansion and stuff pack to the DEP individually for it to work. If you don't have crashing, then don't bother with this. If you still have crashing after you do this, then you'll have to look for other reasons why your game is crashing (obviously). 


How to add expansions, stuff packs and the base game to your DEP

1. Go to Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance Settings.

2. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab. Click on "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" and press "Add." You will now add your Sims game, expansions and Stuff Packs to the DEP exception list. Copy-and-paste these "C:" locations in the spot where it says "File Name."

High-End Loft Stuff Pack:

Pumpkins and Spiders Pattern for Sims 3

Three sizes; three recolorable channels. Category: Themed. The medium pattern (#2) is on my Sim's apron in the screenshot. The jack o' lantern in the screenshot is from EA's online Sims 3 store, from one of their free Halloween sets.

Deer and Moose Hides for Sims 3

There are two deer skins (both whitetail deer, I believe) and one moose hide. The top screenshot shows the moose hide. (In the photo below, the moose is on the far right.) They're photo-skinned, so if you don't like the photo-skinned look, then you might not want these.

They appear as one menu icon in the "Rugs" category, with three variations.

Perfect for Christmas! These reindeer skins appear as a single menu icon in the "Rugs" category in Buy Mode. If you click on the icon, it shows all three variations. They're photo-skinned, so if you don't like the photo-skinned look, then you might not want these.

I've been aching to do some animal-skin rugs for my own game, and anything I do for my own game will of course be posted here for all of you to download, too. I'll start working on another animal skin set later this week. The funny thing is, I hate seeing animal skins in real life (and I do NOT approve of anyone who hunts for sport) but I wanted my Sim to be a self-sufficient, rugged outdoorsy type with animal skin rugs in his house. LOL.

The rugs appear as different color versions of a single menu item to save space in your Buy Mode menu. Click on the picture to make it larger.
